Don’t Miss This Book and Two Workshops!!

The new Fey novel campaign ends Thursday at 7 pm West Coast time. Last Day!!! Counting down the hours…

And wow does this have two great special workshops with it. The first one (which does not seem to be exciting too many, but excites me and Kris) is CREATING FANTASY MERCH WORLDS, meaning building a bunch of merchandise around your book or books or you. They can be fantasy or sf or mystery or romance. It all applies.

For example, just on my store alone, (www.deanwesleysmithstore.com) which is still being built out, I have a bunch merch with Marble Grant and Poker Boy.  We have  a lot of merch on our WMG Writer Store and on other of our Shopify stores. In the Fey Kickstarter, there are five or six different items of merch. Check them out.

We are just in the first few years of slowly adding in more merch, and yet we have made well over $5,000 profit (not gross, profit) on merch alone this year. (I will know the exact number after the end of the year.) That is not coffee money. And we expect it to continue to grow.

The second Special Workshop in this Fey Kickstarter is HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN FANTASY SHORT FICTION MARKETS.  This is an expansion of a building your own markets we did a while back, but not all the same. This is a major expansion of that class. Since we did that class, we have learned a ton more, enough for an expansion class.

And we have already hit two stretch goals so all backers of any reward get not only the new THE UNEXPECTED HERO Fey novel, but two of Kris’s great short stories. And we are close to hitting a third stretch goal which has another story included plus a Dialog workshop taught be Kris.
