From Her Perspective on the Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon…

As anything Kris does, really clearly written and fun to read, even if I was one of those stragglers managing to get to food. The real challenge of that run wasn’t  the 13 miles because that was all in the middle of the street. The real challenge was going that far and then having to go another three miles through and around and up stairs and down stairs in and out of six or seven casinos and hotels. (First time I ever set foot in the Waldorf…)

I kept being short with Kris every time she called me because I was struggling so much and in so much pain, not realizing she was there by herself and no one had completed the trek yet. I thought I would be last, turns out I was first into the pizza. The most difficult three miles I have ever done.
