Kickstarter Friday
Some Campaigns I Think Are Worth Backing Or Studying Or Both!
I do this every Friday when I have a few campaigns I think are worth putting here.
I will not say much negative about a campaign. If there is too much or it is going to fail, I won’t post it here.
And for those wondering where I get off judging Kickstarter Campaigns by fiction writers, I have now done 58 of them, every one funded and made money. My first campaign was in the very early days of Kickstarter. But if yoy are going to study campaigns that I have done, study the last year or so. I am continuing to learn.
And like some people browse and waste time on Facebook, I browse and waste time looking at campaigns on Kickstarter.
SOMETHING TO HELP YOUR CAMPAIGN…
I am doing a Kickstarter mentorship.
That’s right, one-on-one, I will help you build and launch a book kickstarter in the next three or four months (or whatever works for your timeline) that will fund, and get you readers for your books, then I will continue to help you with how to fulfill the campaign.
Fear stopping you? Or just not getting around to it. I can be the engine and deadlines that get you going and you can start any time in the new year with any project.
And then in the following six months I will help you with a second campaign. You will have two successful campaigns from this and have the confidence to keep doing more. (I will of course be around to answer questions.)
So afraid of doing a Kickstarter? Can’t pull the trigger? Or just want to do it right?
I have done 58 of them successfully and will work with you personally, one-on-one to help you launch a campaign that will fund. And then fulfill and launch a second one, fund, and fulfill.
Basically I will be your private Kickstarter instructor. I plan on learning a lot and having a blast, and helping you realize how much fun campaigns are as well.
Cost is $1,000 fee for my mentorship. Simply send the fee to PayPal and use the email dean@wmgpublishingstore.com. We can start with your first one any time you would like, and at this point, we can slowly put it together. Questions, just write me.
Now To This Week’s Spotlighted Book Kickstarters…
STILL GOING!!!
Five Days Left…
On Being (And Becoming Again!) A Writer by Ron Collins
A writer’s why-to handbook for finding joy and defeating life’s turbulence, or a Science Fiction writer’s quest for the meaning of life.
Ron is a long-time professional writer across a bunch of genres and he really knows what he is talking about. This is a great campaign and a great book. Don’t miss this one. Take a look and study and back this one. And it got a Project We Love designation from Kickstarter. Before it launched. That’s how good this one is and why it is worth studying and backing.

Perfect 10 (A Loki Adventure) by Dawn Blair
It started like an average case, then … BAM! Well, let’s just say Loki never expected outer space. Blame Thor.
Dawn has done a really fun take on the Loki story, taking it into space in all kinds of fun ways, and with a really fun cover that make sense, actually.
Worth taking a look at and backing. Really fun series.

Three novels from the ITW Thriller and PWA Shamus Award Winning mystery series that will keep you glued to your chair!
Vincent is an experienced mystery and thriller writer and this campaign has three of his books featured. And this campaign is really worth studying with how he does the art and the book covers and so much more. So if you love a great mystery, this is the author to grab and trust me, once you get reading his stories, you will want more.

Brand New…
Borrowed Bloodlines: Deluxe Urban Fantasy Hardcovers by Emma Shelford
A magic librarian with knife skills, a dragon shifter caught between worlds, and their desperate rescue mission against a hostile cult.
This for the type of fantasy I don’t much read and also focused on a limited edition, which I often don’t promote here, but this one is a great campaign. It is clear, a bit long, but really clear as to what backers will get.
The art is fun and fits and the limited edition details look great. It is also doing well and got a Project We Love from Kickstarter.
So if you like this kind of fiction, worth backing. And really, really worth studying…

Not fiction, but if you like computer stuff and administration or whatever Michael is talking about, check this out. Michael is a stunningly talented fiction writer who also does this computer stuff that just makes my head hurt almost as much as watching him eat black licorice ice cream. But some of you might like it or like to follow Michael.
