Fun Day
COLLECTING AND WORKSHOPS…
I was out at our south store talking collecting, first with Shelly, then with a great guy who used to own a comic book store in Salem.
Then, as I was about to leave to head out to do errands, a guy came in with some really neat stuff, one of which was a very strange CdV photo. CdV stands for Carte de visite, a form of photography out of France that was put on cards about the size of a playing card. This form became a fad for a time in the 1850s through 1870s.
What was cool about this photo was it looked like a dead photo of a confederate soldier in uniform. Shelly and I are pretty sure it is a studio photo, not a dead photo, but it is clearly a confederate soldier.
Now you don’t see CdV photos that often these days. You see CdVs of Confederate Generals, but never of just soldiers. So that was fun. He also had a couple 1800s postcards that were really cool and a Boy Scout medal from the 1910 or so. I handed the guy some cash. (grin)
Then off I went for errands, fighting my way through summer traffic. Then back to WMG to work on workshop stuff. Home to cook dinner, nap, and work on workshop stuff until about 2 a.m. or so. Then I did some reading for the challenges.
I should be back writing on Wednesday. Still have a few things on taxes to finish up.

OCTOBER BUSINESS MASTER CLASS AT THE COAST…
This fall major business workshop was full, but as normal, when I started the email group this last week, a number of people had to drop out. Some for business reasons, some for health.
So after I announced this yesterday, one person signed up, so that leaves two spots open in the Master Business class for October 21st -28th. All top level business focused on indie publishing only. Write me if you are interested with what you are doing with your writing and where you want to go. The coast workshops are invite only.

SF&F BINGE READERS BUNDLE ALMOST DONE!!!
Just TWO days left. Don’t miss this one!!
Storybundle.com has done something special. It has put together a group of bundles in a bundle. And kept the price at normal levels. And this bundle of bundles is about to expire.
My first three Thunder Mountain novels are just one of the bundles.
And you’ll also get some other amazing books. Including a bundle of three different Fiction River fantasy volumes. If you haven’t sampled the amazing work and writers in Fiction River, this would be a good place to do it. That alone is worth the entire cost considering there are close to 50 short stories by different writers in that bundle alone.
You also get three books in Kris’s diving series if you haven’t tried those yet, some of the best science fiction written these days.)
Also, don’t forget to toss in some money for one of Kris and my favorite things, AbleGamers.com. They do stunningly good work and are worth supporting.
