February Story #10 And Workshop Updates…

UPDATES ON IN-PERSON CLASSES

Kris is starting to work on the reading list for the Gothic in-person workshop. So thought I would give you all an update on the spots left for each one.

That’s it. Not Many spots left. The cost is $750.

And we are thinking about a class before Licensing Expo in late May of 2026, but not set yet.

Also, for the first time since 2018, we are offering a lifetime subscription to In-Person classes. This includes all craft and the Anthology workshop and any other in-person classes we do into the future. (This is never given away as a challenge reward on Teachable.)

And credits from Teachable or the Everything Subscription on Teachable do NOT apply.

The cost for a Lifetime Subscription to all In-Person workshops is $3,000. This also includes a Lifetime Subscription to the Study Alongs which costs $1,500. You get them both. CRAFT FOR THE 21ST CENTURY…

This is taught by Kristine Kathryn Rusch. Every Monday for 9 weeks she will lecture on a different element of craft in this modern world.

Here is a video she recorded to explain the class. The class costs $200 until next Monday when the first week launches, then will go to $250. No assignments, just 9 weeks of learning.

The Kris And Dean Show Does BACK TO THE FUTURE

Fun… We recorded half of it this afternoon and half will be recorded on Tuesday…

You know how we did Die Hard? Well this will focus a ton on openings, foreshadowing, pacing, and a ton on information flow, which is critical in BACK TO THE FUTURE. Very different, yet the same idea of going through the movie frame-by-frame, scene-by-scene as we did in Die Hard.

Should be a ton of fun. $50 early bird before it appears on Thursday, February 13th. Then $75 after.

WRITING CHALLENGE

Still managing a story per day. So much going on, Mondays are difficult, but I got one done. A Bryant Street story because those tend to run shorter, thankfully.

The challenge is settling in at the moment, and I am feeling good about it. Onward…
