Craft In the 21st Century…

Kris Lecturing On Craft Every Monday…

CRAFT FOR THE 21ST CENTURY…

This class is taught by Kristine Kathryn Rusch, New York Times bestselling writer and the most award-winning author still writing in mystery and science fiction and fantasy.

— Class starts Monday, February 17th and runs for 9 weeks. No assignments or homework, just pure 21st Century craft lessons from Kris every week.

Every Monday, Kris will ta;k about a modern craft issue in this new world for three or four videos. Just a couple of examples of topics are:

— Depth for People Who Scroll All the Time

— Modern Problem of Unclear Antecedents.

— Using Real Places in Fiction and the Law

And so on for nine weeks.

Kris loves teaching craft and she sees these problems all the time in students and reading.

Again, no assignments. Listen to the lessons each week as you have time. They will appear every Monday. (Starts next Monday, February 17th)

The class is on Teachable and is $200 early-bird for the nine weeks of lectures by Kris. The price will go to $25o next Monday when the class starts, so grab it now.

(Lifetime Everything Subscribers, it is in your subscription and I wrote you a letter through Teachable.)

THE KRIS AND DEAN SHOW DOES BACK TO THE FUTURE

That starts this week. Either Wednesday or Thursday. Kris and I watched the last half of the movie tonight and will be recording the show tomorrow and Tuesday. We are going to talk about plotting, information flow, pacing, planting future details, and so much more. How could you write Back to the Future in prose form. Very possible and we will explain how.

It will be over three hours long (about 35 videos) of us stopping and starting the movie. You will need to watch the movie as you go along as well and be able to stop and start it.

Early-bird price is $50 until we launch, then it goes to $75, so jump in early. Trust me, it will be full of more learning than you can imagine.

STORY PER DAY CHALLENGE…

Still going along great. Finished the 9th story in February tonight, a Seeders Universe Story called “Slow Light.” That is 40 daily stories in a row.

And Kris has read 20 of them now, so I will be putting the collections together soon. Just need to do some covers of the ones she has read.
