Another Update On My Challenge…
Still On Track! For those who have missed the craziness of what I am attempting, because I got so behind in publishing my short stories over the last numbers of years, I decided I was going to publish 75 major books in my 75th year on the planet. That year started on November 10th, so I am almost halfway through and about where I expected to be considering the learning curves. A major book is a collection, a novel, a stand-alone novella, and a non-fiction book. All my new collections for this will be 10-story collections. Where is my progress exactly? Basically I have about 40 books put together with…

Organization…
I’m Going Old School… I have too many learning curves to get under control already, so in planning the next 7 months of this challenge, I am going old-school, with a dry-erase schedule on my wall with goal dates to have books done. And I do have a spread sheet for a lot of my stories, so using it to put 10-story collections together with one of the stories as the title story. Right now I have 12 collections together (120 stories) plus I also put together one of the collections I still need to do for the Mary Jo Assassin Kickstarter. That cover is done, and six of the…

Cover Fun!!
Collection Covers… As I have said in a number of other blogs, I am going to try to publish 75 major books in my 75th year. And the main part of the challenge has two parts. To get myself back really writing next year, or later this year, I have to have all my short stories published in one series of collections. Problem is, I let publishing my short fiction get years behind. And I have a lot of stories. I figure it will be over 60 collections to handle the 600 plus short stories, 10 stories per collection with no repeats. That will be a main part of the…

Quarter of the Year Gone!!
Just Poof!! All History Now… Did you get the writing and publishing done you wanted to get done? Did you learn the things you wanted to learn? Are you on pace to make your goal or do you need to reset? I love resetting. Do it most every year, but this year, weirdly enough, I am about where I expected and hoped to be. And I have beat back or down almost all learning curves I had listed last fall. One more big one to go and two not so big, and with luck, I will be up to speed. My goal starting back in the middle of November was…

Quick Update On My Challenge and Learning Curves…
Knocking the Learning Curves Done One After Another… This coming week is Shopify learning curve, to clean up the mess that is our stores. A ton more fun than the Anthropic crap, that’s for sure. Then I get into my challenge which I will use to get really good at Vellum and also at listings and Bookfunnel. Those are the last three major ones. Yay!! And my challenge to publish 75 major books by the middle of November? Well, actually, I am about exactly where I thought I would be in this process. Technically I published one collection in a bundle, but not going to count that until it gets…

My 75 Challenge
Just Having Fun… I did a page that I will put all the covers of the 75 major books I am going to do this year. Then I put on the first two collections and the five DETECTIVES COLLIDE books. I have eight other collections together, but got too tired playing with this to add them in. Nothing uploaded anywhere yet, but I am at 15 books in just over eight weeks. A good start since I tend to start slowly in challenges. I hope by the end of the month to really get firing on Smith’s Monthly as well, plus I need to finish up the last two Mary…
