An Evening of Learning
A Night of Learning
Once again tonight it has been proven to me that I am one of the luckiest people on the planet. I got to sit in a room tonight with eighteen other professional fiction writers and spend three hours doing nothing but talking about publishing and writing.
The beginning writer still tucked inside of me sort of still just claps with joy.
The writers came from all over western Oregon for the evening. No structure. Only rules are only writing and publishing talk from 8 p.m. until 10:30 or 11 p.m. Sharing information and asking questions.
Tonight I ended up asking a bunch of questions actually. Terms and other promotion things I flat didn’t know. Fantastic fun.
And the night started off with a bunch of us having dinner ahead of time. So from 5:30 until midnight complete fun. I love to learn and wow am I lucky to have this opportunity. Thanks, everyone, for yet another wonderful Friday night.

Star Fall is Out in a Bundle
Repeating this again since I really hope a bunch of you get this bundle to see what I produced in those ten days in August. Some of you might remember the book I wrote in ten days while aiming at seven days in late August. Star Fall: A Seeders Universe Novel. That book is now available as I promised it would be. The official publication date isn’t until November, but at the moment it is available in a fantastic bundle called The Extreme Science Fiction Bundle.
Also notice that in this bundle there is a fantastic Retrieval Artist novel called Extremes by Kris. It also has a great novel by Kevin J. Anderson, another by Mike Resnick, and another by M.L. Buchman. Plus two books by J. Daniel Sawyer.
And also an amazing volume of Fiction River: Risk Takers. I edited that and it is a fantastic example of a Fiction River volume.

I would love to be a fly on the wall listening to all the conversations. I’m sure it would be most fascinating!

It was, Vera, and there were parts that went over my head. Which is why I was asking questions to try to understand some of what was being talked about. The world of modern writing promotion for indies is amazing and there is so much going on and on the verge of launching around the world, it feels totally overwhelming. And that’s part of the fun.
