A Collectables Day Finally
Got to Play With Stuff Today…
After the writer’s lunch I went over to Sheldon McArthur’s place and had a blast talking and working with Shelly and his wonderful wife.
First off, because I missed last month’s auction, Shelly bought a bunch of stuff that he knew I would want and he was spot on the money. Great stuff. And then we looked at a massive Coca Cola Christmas collection we will be picking up for the stores later in the week.
And also an original Dell Comics stand. That’s right, a Dell Comics comic stand, in stunningly good shape. And I collect Dell Four Color comics, so they will fit wonderfully in that stand.
So after I left Shelly’s place, I headed to the south stories and Billy and I went over what Shelly had got for us at the auction. Wonderful cool stuff. Thanks, Shelly!
So by the time I headed back to the WMG offices, I had had a wonderful afternoon. From that point I worked on workshops, cooked dinner, watched Trek, and had a good evening doing stuff for the coming Pulphouse Kickstarter.
So a fun Sunday all the way around, and the weather was nice. Sometimes days are just good. Who knew. (grin)

Challenges
THEY START ON SUNDAY…
Only five people have signed up for the short story challenge so far. I expanded it and the novel challenge to eight writers, so still room in both.
If interested in signing up, just write me. They are going to be great fun. Here are the details once again. Starts October 1st, just ONE WEEK AWAY!!
SHORT STORY Challenge:
— Write thirty short stories in 60 days. You can take the full time or you can write them in a month. Up to you.
— I will charge $600 to be your first reader. If you try the challenge, you get two online workshops of your choice, a $600 value. (In essence, I will read for free if you do the challenge.)
— If you feel the challenge is not working for you, I will offer you an off-ramp at various points and you can take it and get the two online workshops. So you can try this risk free.
NOVEL Challenge:
— Write three novels between October 1st and January 15th. You can take the full time or you can write them quicker. Up to you.
— I will charge $600 to be your first reader. If you give this a try, you get two online workshops of your choice, a $600 value. (In essence, I will read for free if you do the challenge.)
— Novels can be any length over 30,000 words and at least half of the first one must be written during the time of the challenge.
— If you feel the challenge is not working for you, I will offer you an off-ramp and you can take it and get the two online workshops. I also will give you two online workshops if a life event comes up and you can’t finish.

Did you decide against writing a post about pricing books?

Nope, just haven’t finished it yet.

I’ve been binge watching back and forth between Next Gen and Voyager. None of the Trek shows ever get old. A bit dated perhaps, but never old.
