Workshops
Here in Lincoln City, over the last nine years, Kris and I have, at times, put on workshops focusing on the needs of professional writers. We figure that a lot of people help out new writers, but no one helps the newer professional writers, the writers working hard to sell, who are starting to sell, who have a dream to be a full time professional fiction writer.
Over the years writers and editors such as Michael Swanwick, K. W. Jeter, Denise Little, Ginjer Buchanan, John Douglas, Loren L. Coleman, Gardner Dozois, Laura Anne Gilman, and others have helped Kris and I teach these workshops. And this year, Asimov’s editor Sheila Williams joins the fun in September.
So these workshops are focused at a professional level. We are back doing workshops for the next year. We tend to start and stop these as the years go by since they are a lot of work to put on and teach. But for the moment, we have decided to do the following workshops over the next year. If you have any questions, just e-mail me. And feel free to send any professional writer, either with novels or short stories published in professional level markets to this page. Keep up the learning.
