What Makes the March Seminar Different??

Got That Question Three Times…

And Kris and I both went, “Oops, forgot to explain that.”

We have done three seminars now in the last year, and more than likely this well be the last. The format is difficult on us, to be honest, because there is so much information crammed into four weeks.

The last one we did was Fear and Productivity. We focused on the mental side of writing, the mental and other side of publishing, and the mental and work levels of productivity. A lot to cover in four weeks and the four webinars were fun and really learning experiences.

So when Kris and I were talking about doing this last seminar, we realized that with the three we had done, we missed one major element of publishing, something that a copyright attorney reminded me of, and another attorney reminded me of the estate side.

BUSINESS.

Duh. It was in the first three, sort of, but as with most writers, we left it in the background in those first three seminars, mostly not talked about or only mentioned in passing.

So what makes Indie Writing and Publishing Best (and worst) Practices Seminar different???

It will be focused mostly on business.  In four different areas.

So let me add in the business part of the description we have put out so far. The seminar will be divided into four major areas.

Week #1…

The business of writing, including getting to the chair, dealing with life rolls, and being prolific. Best practices and some really bad ones from a business side talked about as well that can hurt your writing. Fiction writing is a business and a writer needs to be creative, but at the same time understand what they are creating. You know, copyright… property… value…

Week #2…

The business of publishing. Getting your work out in a ton of different ways. So many good ways, so many wrong ways. And how to handle your publishing name and taxes and so much more as you go. Good and bad practices. Including tracking your trademarks and brands.

Week #3…

The business of sales. How to get readers to buy your work in this modern 2026 world. Again, so many great ways available to indie writers now, but so many wrong roads. And all coming from a business perspective and how to manage a business when sales are part of the plan.

Week #4…

Business overall and wrapping up the first three elements into a working indie publishing career. Includes how to make a ton more money licensing as well.

So here is the basic information again…
