Novel Four: Day Three

THREE DAYS LEFT (AND YES, COUNTING)…

(As a reminder, the overall monthly challenge is to write four novels and gain distance every week on my step count, starting the first week at an average of 11,000 steps per day.)

Three more days after today to finish this last book. If I give it the hours, I will get it done, no issue. But again tonight got distracted. No more distractions until Tuesday night. (grin)

The Day Went Like This…

Got up at 2:30 p.m., did an hour of e-mail and got to WMG around 4:30 p.m. just like yesterday. Then headed out to the south store and ended up working the south store for a half hour because customers were coming in and the manager had to head out. Great fun for me.

I’m also going to run it on the day of the eclipse since I am the only one within walking distance of the place. (It’s two miles.)

I went back to WMG offices and stayed until 8 p.m. working on workshop stuff. Home to nap, cook dinner and then back in here to work on e-mail and more workshop stuff and some reading on the challenge stories.

Then I got to the writing around 11:30 p.m. a little early.

The Writing Went Like This…

This book is seriously twisted. And I have no idea where it is going or who done what or anything. Could get interesting in a thrill-ride sort of way over the next three days. (grin)

I did 1,200 words before 12:30 a.m. and then went to watch some television with Kris and I didn’t get back to writing until around 2:30 a.m. So much for getting an early start. (grin)

I got another 1,400 words done before 3:15 a.m. This book just pours along when I am in the chair.

Took a quick break and did another 1,100 words before 4 a.m.

Break and got another 1,300 words by 5 a.m.

Short break and 1,400 more words by 6 a.m.

6,400 words in 5 sessions. (Again this total could have been so much more but I got distracted.)
