I Hate This Holiday…
People with little to no sense blowing stuff up to honor something that chances are a lot of them will vote to get rid of in November…
So Vets, hang in there. Get friends around you if you can. Pet owners, make sure your animals are protected and safe. The stupidity of blowing stuff up will end with some people injured or killed, others with their homes burnt down, and animal shelters full. Sounds like a bad novel. Hang in there, everyone. The celebration with carnage will be over soon.

I hate this holiday too. My dog gets scared out of his wits from all the fireworks that go off around our neighborhood.

Yeah, and around me, it’s not just fireworks. They’re shooting their guns off, too. We’ll be staying indoors, thank you.

Oddly, we didn’t get much crazy around here. It didn’t seem to bother my new dog to hear the distant stuff from the city (I can’t hear it in the house). I’m glad, because our neighbors are idiots, and the kind to vote against what this country and the holiday is supposed to stand for. One year they nearly burned a house down, because it was super dry. Oy. The one across the street burns leaves every year and we have to talk really loud about how “the fire is moving awfully close to that house over there!” so they’ll come out and watch over the flames. Idjits.
