History of Science Fiction…
A Very Young Genre…
We just finished the wonderful science fiction Kickstarter for three of Kris’s books and for one stretch goal we had a four week class we will be giving away to all backers (and all Lifetime Everything Subscribers) on WMG Teachable.
Kris and were lucky enough (and are old enough) to have been friends with many of the men and women who started and built the genre of science fiction. It seems odd that a genre is young enough for that to be the case, but it is. That’s why in early April we will record the four weeks of that history from our perspective of knowing the people and the wonderful stories they told. Backers, you can expect the code to get into it then.
We had hoped to do a second history class, put together by Kris, on the history of the women of science fiction. A bunch of years back Kris edited a fantastic anthology called The Women of Science Fiction. So we were both excited about that class as well, but the campaign did not reach that level of stretch goal.
So we are thinking of doing that class in April anyway, giving it to the Lifetime Everything Subscribers on Teachable and offering it to the backers of the Kickstarter campaign at half price. If anyone would be interested.
If you think a class like that would be fun, let me know. Four weeks, no assignments, just history of the women in a wonderful genre. And the women who built the genre that Kris and I were lucky enough to meet and know.
And thanks for the great support of the science fiction Kickstarter. We really appreciate it.
(One last thing… We know all Lifetime Everything Subscribers would be interested, so no need to write and tell us. (grin) And if you want to know how to get a Lifetime Everything Subscription at a discount, just write me privately.)
