Crashed And Burned…
Hit the concrete….
Short blog. Went on a run this morning. Made it 200 yards at full speed. Tripped on an invisible ledge. (Same one Dave tripped on last year.) I was going so fast that I barely had time to roll before hitting the concrete. Fortunately, I landed on my shoulder and not my head.
Surgery later in the week for a broken and dislocated shoulder. All workshops have been postponed one week. If you have questions, contact Kris. Do not email me!
I will be learning to do everything with my left hand…

I remember tripping over the ledge in that park where we all were doing a 5K. I got away with only a fractured ego. Sorry you were not as lucky. Heal fast, my friend.

Please take very good care of yourself and take as much time as you need to heal.

By the tone of this piece, you are matter-of-fact, handling it straight on.
But I, who have spent months in hospital where I couldn’t write but wanted to,
and am just starting over now-
I am feeling sad that happened!
Literal life roll.

OMG!
Well… that’s going to slow your writing down a little bit…
At least it happened because you were *doing* things. Puts you ahead of the ??98%?? of the population…
Best wishes on healing up thoroughly. (There never seems to be such a thing as *fast*)

I’m so sorry to hear this, Dean. I wish you the best for your surgery on Thursday and I hope you have a smooth and easy recovery. May you be back to writing speed in no time!
Indiana Jim
Dean, I think these challenges are getting out of hand. First how to write with one eye, now how to write with one arm?
Be careful out there, we still need you around here. Praying your surgery goes well and recovery equally so.
Sheila
Holy boneshattering, Batman!
I have a fear of falling (or one of the outdoor cats knocking me down). I’d lay there for hours before anyone thought to wonder about me. Glad to see from more recent snippets you’re doing well.
